We've added an extra show! Wang’s back with a new work in progress, and he’s older than ever before. He’s got a moustache now. It bristles with wisdom. His eyes shine with good humour. His shoulders groan under the weight of being the only cool millennial left. Everyone’s an idiot but him. Nice is out. Right is in. The vibe shift is real. Old Wang’s riding it. You know him from one series of Taskmaster, one episode of Would I Lie to You, and one minute of Wonka.

There comes a day when you look around and wonder “is the world a raging bin fire, or is it perimenopause?” The answer, my friend, is “yes”. Authentic, curious, and gleefully irascible, storyteller and comedian Desiree Burch leads a madcap voyage through the Middle Ages–AKA the mid-life crisis, and its mandatory metamorphosis–in her new standup tour, “The Golden Wrath”. Desiree brings both childlike wonder and crone-like wit to the experiences of losing sleep, relevance, knee cartilage, oestrogen, youth, and illusions in a laugh-packed hour that celebrates the fury and freedom found when you accept that time has ruined your plans, even as you roll up your sleeves to fight it anyway. Those of us lucky enough to survive (and many don’t) earn the unique opportunity for a changed body to change perspective and purpose. Or at least we now have laser vision from the incandescent rage that is permanently sizzling just beneath the surface. Desiree has appeared across the UK’s biggest comedy shows, including Taskmaster, The Mash Report, Live At The Apollo, Travelman, The Last Leg, QI, and more. ‘That Desiree Burch can have audiences of all demographics howling over something many would struggle to define is testament to rare comic chops.’ Sydney Morning Herald (Australia) ★★★★★ The Age (Australia) ★★★★★ Fest Mag ★★★★ The Evening Standard ★★★★ The Guardian ★★★★ The Scotsman ★★★★ The List ★★★★ Chortle
